About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Business Development & Sales to join our team. This is a key leadership role focused on driving new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and overseeing the sales process. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, particularly in the FinTech or cryptocurrency space, and a strong ability to manage and expand partnerships across multiple sectors. You'll be at the forefront of helping our platform grow, ensuring it's accessible and impactful for clients across Africa.

Key Responsibilities
- New Business & Partner Acquisition: Identify and engage potential clients and partners, driving the sales process from prospecting and qualifying to contract negotiation.
- Partnership Development: Develop new partnerships, negotiate terms, and execute agreements with key stakeholders. Evaluate proposals and work with the team to drive negotiations.
- Partner Onboarding & Success: Lead onboarding activities for new partners, ensuring they receive comprehensive sales and product training. Regularly check in with partners to ensure their success and satisfaction.
- Sales Performance & Reporting: Track and report on business development activities and progress, providing weekly updates on pipeline development and revenue performance.
- Revenue Growth: Drive new business revenues through strategic partnerships and focus on key financial institutions and affinity markets.
- Product Development & Strategy: Work closely with the product team to ensure that our offerings meet the needs of clients and their customers. Help shape product features that drive adoption and usage.
- Negotiation & Collaboration: Work closely with technology partners, legal, marketing, and administrative teams to negotiate business terms and finalize contracts.
- Leadership & Strategic Planning: Conduct regular reviews with senior leadership, presenting partnership updates and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and resource allocation.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 4 years of experience in a business development or sales leadership role.
- Previous experience working in Africa is required.
- Proven experience in managing the full B2B sales cycle, including onboarding, integration, and partnership management.
- Experience in the FinTech or cryptocurrency industry is a must.
- Strong knowledge of B2B sales, client management, and third-party distribution channels.
- Experience in selling API solutions to partners and affinity groups.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Ability to quickly adapt, make decisions, and influence teams across the organization.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Comfortable working in a transparent, collaborative, and non-political environment.
