Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Industrial Paint & Coating Estimator to accurately estimate costs for projects, ensuring competitive and profitable bids. This role requires a deep understanding of industrial coatings, surface preparation, materials, and application techniques. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and experience working with general contractors and project managers.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Analyze project specifications, drawings, and bid documents to develop accurate cost estimates ✅ Determine labor, material, and equipment costs for industrial painting and coating projects ✅ Work closely with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to gather pricing information ✅ Prepare detailed proposals and bid submissions within project deadlines ✅ Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates align with project execution ✅ Stay up to date with industry trends, coatings technologies, and pricing changes
Qualifications:
✔ 3+ years of estimating experience in industrial or commercial painting & coatings ✔ Strong knowledge of surface preparation, coating systems, and application methods ✔ Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel ✔ Ability to read blueprints, specs, and contracts ✔ Excellent communication and negotiation skills ✔ Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities
