Strategic Communications Associate

Schedule: Fully Remote

TalentSource360 is assisting a DC area client in search of an experienced Strategic Communications Associate. This Communications Associate will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the organization's internal and external communication strategies. This position requires a creative and analytical individual who can craft compelling narratives, manage public relations, and support internal and external communications efforts as requested by leadership. The ideal candidate should be able to gain a strong understanding of the organization’s mission, brand, and audience, and will be able to effectively communicate these to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation & Management: Develop, write, and edit content for various channels including press releases, newsletters, website copy, social media posts, and other communication materials.
  • Strategic Planning: Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive communication plans that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Internal Communications: Support internal communications initiatives by crafting messages for employees, managing newsletters, and coordinating events.
  • Brand Management: Ensure consistency in the organization’s voice and messaging across all communication platforms.
  • Digital Communications: Manage and optimize digital communication strategies, including social media and email marketing, to engage target audiences effectively.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and analyze the performance of communication campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Crisis Communications: Assist in the development and implementation of crisis communication plans, ensuring quick and effective responses to any potential issues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to gather information and ensure communication efforts are aligned with organizational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong understanding of media relations and digital communication strategies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using social media platforms, content management systems, and analytics tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
