We have an outstanding Contract position for an Assembler to join a leading Company located in the Clearwater, FL surrounding area.  

**USCitizenship is required.**

Job Responsibilities:  

• Performs a variety oftasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables. 
• Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws. 
• Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed. 
• May conduct qualityinspections on the processing line in accordance withquality specifications. 
• May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

• Uses microscope to verify correct part placement and orientation, manually aligns parts before soldering, and performs post-re-flow inspection and touch-up.
• Able to identify and touch up poor wetted solder joints, solder voids / insufficient solder, solder shorts/ bridges, misaligned parts/leads, tombstoned and or billboarded components andany out solder defects that may occur during the SMT operation.
• Must be able to read instructions and identify standard SMT components.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment where some overtime may be required.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of timeand focus on tedious tasks.
• Musthave basic computer skills and havethe ability touse several windows basedprograms as part of your daily routine.
• Musthave a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position and have above averagesurface mount and fine pitchsoldering skills.
• Ability to work under a microscope for long periods of timeto perform inspection/solder repair.
• Must be able to read and interpret assembly drawings.
• Strong communication and organizational skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
